For the IS-005 self-propelled aerial work platform diploma, Praxis is the right place for you!

It can take place on your location or in one of our partner centers in Flanders.
The amount of days of training depends on your experience and competences.
If you pass, then you will receive the official IS-005 diploma!
In case your sector or client does not ask for this specific diploma, then follow our standard aerial working platform training or our aerial working platform competence test.

ADMISSION CONDITIONS
- Experience or no experience? Each aerial work platform operator is welcome in this training!
- Being at least 18 years old
- Identification possible through an identity card, passport or driving license
- Possession of a medical fitness certificate
- The participant is fluent in the language of the exams

TARGET GROUP
Employees who need to work with an aerial working platform on a company site, in installations, workshops, warehouses. Moving around and performing work at height using a aerial working platform, articulated arm or telescope.
For employees that work in (petro)chemical industry, this exam must be taken in a recognized center.

- Every successful participant receives the Besacc-VCA IS-005 diploma: working with an aerial working platform
- The diploma is personal-related and indicates the high-risk task the participant has passed.
- The diploma is valid for 5 years and is registered online at http://besacc.epyc.eu/diploma.

- Name the different lifting and boom systems
- Name the different drive types and their applications

- Correctly explain the basic regulations regarding the use of an aerial work platform.
- Correctly explain the safety instructions
- Name the environmental risks and the relevant safety measures
- Explain the influence and dangers of side loads
- Perform a last minute risk analysis (LMRA)
- Describe the terms related to the controls
- Name the constituent parts of the work platform
- Explain the meaning of the pictograms on an aerial work platform
- Explain the structure of lifting parts and the order of operation
- Explain the concepts related to stability
- Name the parts of the start control
PRACTICAL TEST TERMS
- Performing the start-up check (checklist)
- Lift the aerial platform to a maximum height and move it a few meters.
- Driving forwards and backwards through a tight passage
- Performing forward and backward slalom
- Install the aerial platform at an angle to an object in height and approach the object
- Approaching an object in the height behind an upright obstacle
- Parking the aerial platform safely and charging or refuelling the traction battery

- Mobile self-propelled work equipment can only be used by workers who have received the appropiate training for the safe operation of these work equipment (Codex book IV, title 3)
- A safety function is considered to be any work station where work equipment is used, where motor vehicles, cranes, overhead cranes, hoists of any kind are operated. (Codex book I, title 4)
